Do you know Christian Letendre? He’s a 26 year-old advertising publisher from Sherbrooke who’s been living in Montreal for almost 7 years. Here’s why Altitude Blog would like you to get to know him:

"March 13th, 2010 marked the beginning of my long (yet seemingly short) hike along the Appalachian trail; a trail that stretches 3,500 km from Georgia to Maine. Once I reach the end, I will have taken close to 5 million steps.

5 Million Steps

I largely owe this project to Camp Tékakwitha. I spent half of my life’s summers there, and it's where I first discovered the Appalachian Trail. The camp gave me a taste for the outdoors, nature and simplicity. I would therefore like to acknowledge all of the staff who instilled that passion in me and maintained it throughout the years.

5 Million Steps

This blog is a personal account of my experiences, encounters, and thoughts along the trail. I’m writing about my journey in order to record and capture the memories I gather. I also do it for you, to calm my mother by giving her news, to make all of my working friends who would also like to be elsewhere jealous, and to encourage everyone who will read this blog to realise their dreams, or rather, realise that it is sometimes essential to break with routine and dare to live something new. "

We invite you to accompany Christian on his journey. Feel free to leave your comments and to encourage him here on his blog (in French).
