The final season of A Skier’s Journey takes us to Iran where the sport is consistently growing as more and more people become interested in the peace and happiness found in the mountains. Skiers Chad Sayers and Forrest Coots also stop in China where the growing middle class population sparks growth in the sport of skiing. The final stop for the series finale of A Skier’s Journey is British Columbia; the place chad Sayers and Forrest Coots call home and where their love for skiing began.

Episode 1: Iran


After deciding to go, Chad Sayers and Forrest Coots are happy they make the decision to travel to Iran. After a warm welcome upon arrival, they explore Iran and get a glimpse of the beautiful landscape and culture as well as the country’s mysteriousness. Once at the private ski chalets found in the Alborz and Zagros mountains, they find the same peace and beauty that brings the fellow ski lovers to the calm place.

 

Episode 2: China


As the middle class population in China grows, so does the sport of skiing and new discoveries of ski destinations. The number of ski hills has grown substantially since the beginning in China with over 500 available now. During this episode, skiers chad and Forrest explore different regions of China and the different ski terrain each region has to offer.

 

Series Finale: Crossing Home


What better way to finish A skier’s Journey series than on home turf back in BC. In this series finale, Chad Sayers and Forrest Coots traverse across BC’s Coast Range by foot, ski and floating. Follow their journey over three weeks as they make their way through 1500km of snowy covered peaks from ice fields and steep chutes to plateaus and the coastal inlet on the Pacific all the while searching for the meaning of what it is to be “home.”
