Canada Goose parkas are built to last a decade, if not a lifetime. With such high-end products, both in terms of cost and value, you want to make sure you get the right one. But it's not just a question of choosing between the Kensington and the Trillium or between the Chilliwack and the Expedition. You also have to choose the right size. To help you out, we've set up this page with the sizing chart. You can also ask me in the comments and we'll help you out if you're not sure. We've set up the Men's, Women's and Kid's sizing charts. Please note that the measurements indicated refer to your body and not the jacket. Not only that, but the fit depends on which style you get. More on that later.
Click on the chart to zoom in.
But wait! It's not that simple. It never is in fact. But enough of my cynicism, although the sizing charts indicate the body size a jacket was made for, it is quite important to take into consideration the fit. Canada Goose uses three different fits, Slim, Regular and Relaxed.
You'll find that these are tighter than the average fit you're used to wearing. If you like a fit that's very close to the body, this one's for you. If you are debating between two sizes, you should consider the larger of the two.
You'll find that these have a pretty average fit, if slightly looser than most. You should simply get your normal size. Those who want it close to the body should be careful because ordering a size too small will mean sleeves that are too short.
Relaxed in this case is an understatement. They are very loose. Perhaps the loosest you'll ever wear in the corresponding size. This extra room has a function. In the coldest environments, on the coldest days, you'll want to be able to ad some layers. The looseness allows just that; it means you can easily add a good 10-15C to your jacket. Despite the looseness, the jacket is still made for the body indicated in the sizing chart. If you are debating between two sizes, feel free to order the smaller one. If you are looking to downsize more than one size for a trimmer fit, you should think about getting another model.

Canada Goose Women's Winter Parka Reviews
Canada Goose Men's Winter Parka Reviews
Hi Mark! I would like to purchase an expedition parka or maybe a constable. I’m 6’1” 176lbs chest about 39,5″. Should i try a medium or small? Thanks in advance
Hey Paul, I would definitely be looking at the medium. Even though both models are rather loose-fitting, I fear the sleeve length would not be adequate on the small.
I’m 5’10″ I have a 36″ chest 30″ waist and weigh 130lbs. I’m thinking of getting the Ontario parka. Should I get a small or medium?I’m concerned for sleeve length
In terms of your upper body I would suggest the small. I’m almost 6 foot and am 170, and take a medium, but if you are really worried about your sleeve length then measure yourself up, and shoot Canada Goose an email. Otherwise I could check next week with our Small in inventory.
I would like to purchase a chiliwack parka and I’m not sure which size i should get. Im 166 cm and weigh 105. Should i get a youth or a mens
Hey Michael, I think you should have a look at the Youth XL, but if you have long arms you may also want to try on the Small Men’s. Good luck.
What is the sleeve lengths on the youth xl and the mens x small
Sorry Michael I do not have either of those jackets in stock. Feel free to shoot Canada Goose an email for an answer.
Cheers
Bonjour Mark,
merci
Hi! I’m thinking of purchasing a kensington CG55 and am debating between the small and medium. I know the kensington is a tighter fit so I’m leaning toward the medium more BUT according to your size chart I am a small. I am just over 5’5 in height and weigh 125-130lbs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! tx
Hey Maggie, one of our staff here is 5’5 but goes with a medium in the Kensington because of bust size. If you are petite across the board then you will fit into a small, but if you want space to wear a sweater underneath, then perhaps a medium would be more appropriate for a little room to breath. Good luck.
I want to buy a snow mantra I’m a women uk size 8-10 will a men’s xs fit me as the women’s have sold out, thanks
Hi Mark,
I received my parkas a few days ago. Is there any chance I can return and exchange my Expedition (Small) for a Banff (in size medium/Navy)?
I think the Expedition is simply too bulky for my style.
Hey again Dwight, as long as the model is on Altitude-sports.com it should not be a problem. For this you must call customer service 1-800-729-0322. Adrienne will take great care of you.
BOnjour, quel est la grandeur de taille pour le Kensington?
Bonjour Alexandra, je ne suis pas certain de comprendre votre question. Pouvez-vous être plus spécifique?
male 6ft – 38″chest-30w
would CG Expedition be a good fit in small?
Arm length?
I’m 5’11 with 38inch chest. I would get a medium. The sleeves on the small would be too short.
I want to buy the canada goose expedition parka and i want some help with the size.I am5.85 and 160p.Do you think small will fit good on me?
I would probably go small. I’m 5’11 and 160 and take a medium. It is really wide around the body but sleeves just long enough. The small should be good for you.
Hi! I would like to get the Kensington parka…I’m 5’8 and 140lbs…my upper body always fits slimmer sizes….what size do you think I would need?thx
Lara I just had someone who is 5’7 and 140 try on the Medium and it was too big in my opinion. If you fit slightly smaller in the top I would definitely go with the Small.
Was lucky enough to find an xs and s in a store here both fit but took s for a little more freedom.love it!thanks
Mark,
I ordered a Small Expedition, but I have a feeling it’ll be too big when it arrives. I’m 5’9″ and 145 lbs.
Is there any way I can exchange this to an XS? Will you be getting more stock (or any other model)?
Regards
Dwight, we will not be getting any more stock, but honestly I have a feeling the Small might fit you well (it may be a little loose around the body). If you don’t like the size when you receive it please call our customer service at 1-800-729-0322. They will be able to help you out no matter what you decide. Good luck.
My Foxe Bomber size S arrived today. The quality is fantastic; from the stitching to the zipper, everything. The jacket is bulkier than expected. The photos on models show it to be a more trim fit; it’s not. Nowe, this might be my odd body, and I’m shorter than the models. However, it is not cut like a bomber jacket that I would think of. It is longer and bulkier than the name would suggest. I’d like to try an XS; whould the sleeves be shorter and if so how much?
Robert, we don’t have an XS in stock so I can’t measure up the sleeves for you. But usually they will be approx. 1.5 to 2 inches shorter, if memory serves.
For more questions you should really contact our customer service at 1-800-729-0322.
And yes, they are really well made.
I am just under 5′ 6″ (167 cm) and weigh about 135, about the same as the person in a previous post. I have a 99cm chest, although i have narrow shoulders and short arms; a size small shirt is always too long in the sleeves. I don’t want a jacket that has a lot of extra room and with a small frame a bulky jacket does not look good. I orderd a Foxe Bomber size small; will it be a snug fit?
Also, is the Foxe Bomber discontinued? I can’t find a store that has a selection of colors and sizes?
Finally, are the colors on the Canada Goose web page accurate? The color on other web pags is different.
Hey Robert, the small will probably not be snug on you. It is a ‘regular’ fit just like the Chilliwack so it will probably be a little loose.
As for the colours I don’t know what site you are looking at, but these are the correct colours (as are the colours on the Canada Goose site): http://www.altitude-sports.com/eng/products/winter-camping/mens-clothing/jackets/mens-foxe-bomber?3029m
There is no store left with a good sizing most probably because we are late in the season and most have sold. You may just have to wait until next Fall.
Hi, Im a male height about 167cm and weight about 130lb which size of canada goose chilliwack bomber should i go for Small or Medium?
Durmy, I would go with the small. The medium fits me and i’m 180cm and 160.
Hi!
I’m 4’11 and roughly 85 pounds and bust-size is 32A. I’ve been told that a Medium Youth Canada Goose Expedition Parka would fit me better than an adult sized one due to how “loose” they are. Not sure if that would be true? I have an incredibly small frame and this is why I was told that even a Large would not look very “fitting” on such a small build as mine. It’s so hard without being able to try one on :/ I don’t have a conventional size, I suppose!
For regular clothes, I’m usually an XS (or XXS is available), waist is size 0 or 00. Thanks for answering our questions!
And by 32, I mean 30, haha.
Hi I’m about 5 feet 100-105 pounds and wear a 32D and I’m thinking about buying the chilli whack bomber for women’s… I have the freestyle vest in a size xs and was wondering if I should buy the same size for the bomber?
I am trying to purchase the Canada Goose Constable Parka. I’m 5’11″ and 180 lbs. I’m not quite sure what size I should buy. I’m thinking an S or an M. I’m a stocky build adn i’m worried about the shoulders. what would you suggesT?
Edward, do not go the Small- it will be much too small. I am 5’11” and 160 and definitely a medium. I would probably suggest the Medium. It has a regular fit and so I do not think the waist will be too tight. But if you want to have lots of room, then perhaps a Large would be a better choice.
Hi there!
I am looking to buy the trillium brown jacket but I’m not sure about sizing. I’m 5″4, 120lbs and a 34A in chest. I am also a 28 in the hips (size 2-4 jeans) if that helps. I was thinking a small in the jacket.
Thanks!
Hi there!
I am looking to buy the trillium brown jacket but I’m not sure about sizing. I’m 5″4, 120lbs and a 34A.
Hi, I want to buy a chateau parka but I’m living in Europe and here the Canada goose jackets are already sold out. I was considering to buy it in USA. I’m 1.82 m tall and my chest circumference is around 100cm. I think I need to buy a medium size (Europe). Is the corresponding size still the medium one in USA?
We probably have it in stock. You would just need to have it shipped to a friend in Canada and they could ship it to you. But yes you seem like a Medium, which should be the same in both Europe and Canada.

Hello,
I would like to purchase a chiliwack but i do not no what size to choose. I am 5’1, 110 lbs, and my bust is 34′.. should i go with a youth jacket ?
Caitlyn, for an adult model Chilliwack you would probably have to go with a Small, based on bust alone. It will be more comfortable in the chest area, but the sleeves may be longish. As you said another option would be a youth and in that case you would go with an XL (tightish) or an XXL (more comfortable). The youth jackets usually have shorter sleeves so it might be interesting to look at.
Remember if you don’t like the size, just return it to us.
Can’t afford a womans jacket for girlfriend, considering buying a kids. She is typically a small in womans clothing. size 32b and a 26 waste i believe. Should I get a large canada goose (kids)? she is also about 5 foot at most.
That won’t be the first time someone does this- good idea. The Large might be ok, but my concern is sleeve length. Usually kids clothing has much shorter sleeves than adult sizes. Look at the chart and double check sleeve length with a jacket of hers that is lying around the house.
I’m want to buy the citadel parka but I’m quite confused about the size of the jacket. I like the lim fit design. I’m 1,83 mtr. tall, weight about 84 kg, my chest is 108 cm. I’m in Europe, and will buy it in a website.
If you like the slim fit I would try the medium, but it might be a little tight around the waist. If you want a little room to move go with the Large instead.
We don’t ship Canada Goose to Europe, but if you have a friend in Canada we can ship to them for free and they can then ship it to you.
I am trying to figure out what size canada goose mountaineer jacket to buy.I have an xl expedition jacket that fits big and an xl chilliwack jacket that fits just right. I wear an xl arcteryx and north face and i have a 46 inch chest. is an xl mountaineer jacket going to be too small? the xxl which goes up to 51 inches would be to large i think.
Unfortunately we do not stock that model so i don’t have much experience with it, but always remember to check the fit of the jacket. It is a ‘slim Insulated’fit so will be more tight than the Expedition. I would stick with the XL.
Another suggestion might be the Chillwave from Mountain Hardwear: http://www.altitude-sports.com/eng/products/mens-clothing/jackets/insulated-jackets/Mens-Chillwave-Jacket?OM4754
or the Prism Optimus from The North Face: http://www.altitude-sports.com/eng/products/mens-clothing/jackets/insulated-jackets/mens-prism-optimus-jacket?auhh
good luck
Mark
I am 5 foot 3, and I weigh 100-105 lbs. I i dont want to order a coat that might end up too small if i chosse xxs, but then i don’T want to be floating in one either if i order xs. I am a size 24-25 waist. and my chest is a b32. what can you recommend to me? I would like the coat to be tailored to my size, however i also want to be able to move without being scared of ripping it. Suggestion?
Hey Patricia, based on your dimensions you are most probably an XS. As for suggestions, the world is your oyster. In Canada Goose the Kensington and Trillium are always super popular, but don’t be afraid to look at Nobis (another Canadian high-end brand) either. Know that the Kensington has straps on each side at the waist so you can really cinch down and get a nice silhouette.
Canada Goose: http://www.altitude-sports.com/eng/brands/canada-goose/womens-clothing/jackets
Nobis: http://www.altitude-sports.com/eng/brands/nobis/womens-clothing/jackets
I hope this helps.
And the center-back length to please. Armlength an center back from xxs xs s and m, if you can..:)
For information like this Canada Goose would probably be the best guys for this. 1-888-668-0625. Good luck
Hey, do you have the armlength of the chilliwack for women?
I’m 6′ about 205lbs, what size should I be looking at for the Expedition
Hey Stephen the best way to figure this out would be by looking at the sizing chart here: http://altitude-blog.com/canada-goose-sizing-chart/
Remember that the Expedition is a relaxed fit and so is very loose fit. You are probably normally a Large size but in the Expedition you may want to look at the Medium because it fits so big. If you want it big and loose then lean towards the Large.
Good luck.
Merci
