Season three of A Skier’s Journey follows skiers on their journeys to three very different destinations. Skiers Chad Sayers and Forrest Coots head to Japan in episode one where they unsurprisingly find epic powder and a memorable cultural experience. Episode two follows Chad Sayers and Chad Manley to Dubai where they discover a different kind of skiing experience inside a frigid, air conditioned space. Season three finishes in Iceland with Episode three. Chad Sayers, Forrest Coots and Chad Manley go back in time and travel the Icelandic landscape via sailboat, kayak and ski as the explorers did back in the day.
Episode 1: Japan
Japan is a magical place full of culture and beauty, from the tall skyscrapers and flashing lights of Tokyo to the peaceful, untouched snow in the mountains. Season 1 starts off with some cultural and urban explorations in the city and some epic powder stashes in Hokkaido. Follow skiers Chad Sayers and Forrest Coots on their journey through Japan.
Episode 2: Dubai
Episode two follows Chad Sayers and Chad Manley to Dubai, the largest sand desert on the planet and home to an indoor ski hill which climbs 60 vertical meters out of a luxury shopping mall. It is here that Chad and Chad discover a new type of skiing environment and like any home ski hill, a group of dedicated skiers who look forward to carving a few turns whenever they can get the chance.
Episode 3: Iceland
Season three finishes off in Iceland with a little step back in time. Chad Sayers, Forrest Coots and Chad Manley are guided by friends Siggi Jonsson and Runar Karlsson through Iceland’s rugged and secluded Westfjords region. Along their journey, they traverse the rough landscapes by sailboat, kayak and ski and get a taste of what life was like for those living in this region in the past.
