Peak Performance, Travel. Peak Performance Cabin Trolley Reviewed

Here we go again… Another delayed flight, a missed connection, a canceled flight, re-routing and we all know what comes next… missing luggage. In the last month I’ve spent roughly 50hrs flying, 9hrs on tarmacs, 6hrs on buses, 5 hrs on a train, 5 countries, countless limbo hours in airports and to finish it off, 11 days without my checked-in bags. Yes, I travel a lot. All this to say,  My “ Oprah” moment of “My favourite thing of the year” goes to my Peak Performance cabin trolley!

Our review of this product
8.5 / 10

The pros are:

  • Exceptional storage capacity
  • Strong zippers
  • Convenient size
  • Appealing material that is easily washable

The cons are:

  • Improved wheel system for added mobility and ease while running through airports

This trolley has made me smile more than I can say! I can’t imagine what my traveling would have been like without it but I can tell you that with the cabin trolley I was left with a perma-grin on my face the whole way through.

Believe it or not, I’ve never had a proper carry-on. I’ve always been the girl with the ripped up backpack or reusable grocery bag traveling by the seat of my pants and hoping it all works out. Well let me tell you, it doesn’t always work out and now, thanks to my Cabin Trolley bag, those days are over!

This cabin trolley is the best. I mean AWESOME!

Pockets & Storage

I’m amazed at how much I’ve been able to pack in it. I’m a massage therapist for the Canadian freestyle ski team so I can get away with just showing up. But the job also entails me to ski and stand at the top of the course during training hours, so, I pack one set of everything! In the main compartment, you’ll find ski gear, work gear, regular clothes and some massage tools. The upper closing lid has 2 zippered mesh compartments, one fits my toiletries and the other for all my orphaned paper trails that would otherwise make my suitcase look like my office desk! The outer opening lid is a perfectly sized laptop compartment that makes it a breeze for the in’s and out of security checks and in flight.

Last but not least is my favourite easy access zippered pocket located right at the top that houses my passport, boarding passes, and telephone. The only thing about this pocket is that I want more of it!

Appearance & Durability

I credit the soft makeup of this suitcase for allowing every inch count and the unbreakable zipper for not skipping a notch. I have been known to sit on suitcases to squeeze every last morsel. I’m also a big fan of the material used as it is super durable and washes easy.

After all this, I’m still surprised it fits in the overhead compartment of every plane, train or automobile I have had to travel in thus far,

Straps & Handles & Wheels

The two strap handles make it easy to grab and go and the two set notch retrieving handle is also great for the laid back trolley’in around! The wheels are straight and this is something I would like to see improved in the next design for all direction/rotational wheels.

Overall Opinion

One thing I know for sure is that you learn quickly when you travel with professional athletes! There is nothing worse than showing up at a destination unprepared because… “Ain’t got no time for that!” I love the Cabin Trolley and I am looking forward to Peak Performance to add a ski bag to their quiver of travel bags.
