On February 27, 2010, during the 7th Montreal Highlights Festival, Flexigloo set itself up on the quays of the old port. Altitude-sports.com is proud to have helped out this unique tribe.
For the second year in a row, this mobile animated shelter provided some warmth at the festival’s peak – this long winter night filled with cultural activities. The Flexigloo is an event concept designed to shelter festival goers while they’re waiting outside or going to and from different activities. Once inside the igloo, people are entertained with a good dose of funny Nordic tales and a goblet of chocolate chai. The actual igloo and the interactions among the Iglooite tribe are amusing enough in themselves.
As a sponsor of this event, Altitude-sports.com was able to keep our Iglooite entertainers very warm (thanks to our donation of long underwear) and to improve their accessory storage (thanks to our donation of back packs). Through this connection, we wanted to show our support for outdoor winter sports in the city, something we see too little of in our Nordic climate.
Made adaptable and multifunctional, the Flexigloo can appear at all sorts of indoor and outdoor activities. The next weekend, it was at a children’s story-telling presentation at the Langelier library.
Bravo to all the comedians and their outstanding performances!
