Me, my Icebreaker Women's GT200 LS and my 10k Trail Run

A little bit about me
I am currently studying sport management and leadership. I have played on numerous sports teams my whole life, such as volleyball, basketball, and soccer etc. Last summer however I decided to give myself a challenge that I never even dreamed of doing… I decided I would train and do a triathlon! It was one of the most amazing, rewarding experiences I have ever had! I am use to playing on sports teams and relying on others to help reach a goal- but this was so different. It was me, just me. I have asthma and struggle with endurance activities, especially running but that just made me work harder. So that brought me to my next physical challenge: 10k Trail Race. This run includes many hills, jumping over tree branches, slipping over rocky paths, and finishing by running through the lake. I had never run anything over 5k and with my asthma had to work hard.
Almost everyone likes to do more than one athletic activity. And if you’re like me, you don’t want to have a million different outfits for each one. When looking for new technical clothing, the most important thing to consider is versatility. I thus chose Arc’teryx’s new, insulating base layer, the Phase AR Zip Neck LS. I tested it out while doing three of my favourite fall activities: hiking, running, and putting snow tires on my car at my friends cabin (yes, that’s a sport!).
"Hahaha!" I can hear you already: "Is he serious? Is he really doing an underwear review?"
The answer, dear reader, is: “OH YEAH!”
If you knew what I know, you would have already written one. But what can I say, I’ve been pretty busy these days; but not too busy to continue my love for merino wool. We here at altitude-blog.com love the merino. That being said, I’m just gonna step up and say that no one loves it like I do. In fact, if I had any musical talent, I would probably have written this little ditty
