Le printemps n'est pas que la saison des amours, mais aussi de la pluie. C'est pourquoi il est important de se doter d'un bon imper-respirant. Il nous permetra de rester au sec et donc de rester confortable. Afin de vous aider à trouver celui qui est parfait pour vous, nous avons dressé un top 5 manteaux imper-respirant avec une présentation vidéo pour chaque produit.
On est partis, moi et mon ami, de Montréal vers 15 heures en espérant avoir les conditions parfaites, c’est-à-dire beaucoup de pluie afin de mettre à l’épreuve mon manteau Revel de la compagnie Outdoor Research. D’après ce que j’avais eu comme information météorologique, le scénario s’annonçait idéal. Donc, le plan de match était de coucher à la Montagne d’Argent et ensuite, le lendemain matin, Le toit des Laurentides dans le parc de Mont-Tremblant. Comme prévu, on est arrive vers l’heure du souper à la montagne. Après avoir installé nos tentes et bien mangé, j’ai décidé d’aller faire une petite escapade afin de découvrir les lieux. On y a découvert beaucoup de possibilités : sentiers pédestres, parois d’escalade et plusieurs services pour un prix très abordable.
Au retour, la soirée fut quand même assez courte et se termina devant un feu, bière à la main ; histoire de bien relaxer et de s’imprégner de la tranquillité de la nature.
Le lendemain matin, on s’est levé très tôt pour déjeuner et ranger le stock. Objectif Le toit des Laurentides.
À 9 heures et quelques poussières, on est arrivé au pied du sentier avec en prime ce qu’on espérait depuis toujours : de la pluie.

My friend and I left Montreal at around 3 p.m. hoping to get perfect weather, ie tons of rain so we could put my Outdoor Research Revel Jacket through its paces. According to the forecast, everything was in place. The plan was to sleep at the Montagne d’Argent (Silver Mountain) and the next morning hike Le toit des Laurentides trail in the Mont Tremblant Park. As planned, we got to the mountain at supper time. Once we’d set up our tents and eaten a nice meal, I decided to check out the surrounding area. We discovered lots of possibilities: foot paths, climbing walls, not to mention various services at a reasonable price.
Upon our return, we made it a short evening in front of a fire with a beer at hand. The next morning, we got up really early for breakfast and packing up. Next stop : Le toit des Laurentides.
At 9 a.m., give or take a few minutes, we got to the trailhead. Luckily, our friend the rain was waiting for us.
We lunched with the jays and took a half-hour break to recuperate a bit.
The descent was quick and lasted an hour-and-a-half. We ran down the path and I treated myself to two memorable tumbles in the mud. Although the path was quite wet, I managed to keep my feet dry. I can’t say the same for my cotton pants. We ended the day on a nice little beach as we ate our dinner.
