Since it first came out in 1998, the Alpha SV has been the quintessential icon of technical shells. This jacket set the standard, defined the genre and brought the term hard shell into popular parlance. But does it deserve its reputation? I took the αsv for a spin to find out.

First up in my Hard vs. Soft Battle Royale is the Arcteryx Sabre Pant. It is as Hard as it gets! Well that’s not exactly true because Arcteryx makes their SV (severe) line of garments, and this one is not in it. 3 lines in and I already have made my review seem superfluous. Just know they are a hardshell.

Homme dans la trentaine, ayant par le passé fait beaucoup d’activités extérieures se voit plutôt fatigué à son retour du travail. Avec une famille de 3 enfants c’est plutôt difficile d’aller en plein air pour tester des produits.
Non sans farce, malgré plusieurs éléments de vérité ci-haut, lorsque les gens de chez Altitude-sports.com m’ont approché pour tester un produit de chez Arcteryx, j’ai tout de suite dit oui.
