Have you ever gotten to a mountain vista and just wondered? What about cross-country skiing under the stars? Or for that matter out at sea under a clear sky? You know, when you look out at the immensity of life around you.

Conversely, have you ever lowered yourself down to the ground and tried to imagine an ant's perspective? Or tried to bend your mind to a bacteria's size?

One of the joys of the outdoors is getting to see the night sky far away from the city lights. What a wonderful feeling to lie on your back and lose yourself in the Milky Way. It always takes me away on an interstellar journey, reminding me in the end of how small we really are.

I’m far from being the only one who likes looking at the stars. Stargazing has been one of humans’ favourite activities since the beginning of time. The following image proves this well.

Un des plaisirs du plein-air est de sortir de la ville et d'avoir la chance de contempler le ciel étoilé qui n'est pas gaché par les lumières urbaines. Quelle belle sensation que d'être couché et de se noyer dans la voie lactée! Ça me fait toujours embarquer sur un voyage intersidéral. Ça finit toujours par me rappeller jusqu'à point nous sommes petits.

Je suis loin d'être le seul à admirer les astres. C'est une des activités préférées de l'humanité depuis que l'humanité existe. L'image ci-dessous en est bien la preuve.
