The Blue Kazoo by The North Face is a quality sleeping bag offering increased comfort and exceptional performance. Insulated with 650 treated down, the sleeping bag resists moisture and provides consistent performance even during prolonged use. During our test, we used this sleeping bag every night for three consecutive weeks in the Icelandic spring without ever losing performance. The rainy nights and the wet days when the sleeping bag cannot be ventilated have not diminished the comfort and insulation.

|9 / 10|
|The pros are:||The cons are:|
The 650 fill-power down insulation offers a good compression/price ratio. On the other hand, for more demanding expedition conditions, some may want to look at his bigger brother the Hyper Kazoo 800 ProDown™. We found that the lightness and size of the sleeping bag when compressed are advantageous for cycling tours in cold weather.
Sleeping Bag Fit
The cut is perfect for a sleeper with a wide shoulder span. This adds a touch of comfort, without affecting its performance. On the other hand, the cut can reduce the comfort of a slim sleeper in cold weather, but remains comfortable enough when not within the temperature limits of the product. In addition, its fabric is very comfortable. It is soft and will not stick when your skin feels damp.
Several small details provide great functionality for this product, such as the inside pocket to warmly store a smart phone or to safely store a pair of glasses. The sleeping bag has small loops for hanging it to dry. The double-sided zipper made controlling the temperature easy. Furthermore, the zippers have glow in the dark plastic caps. It’s not a revolutionary addition, but it made me smile.
