The North Face Raincoats
If you’re looking for a basic raincoat that will provide reliable weather protection during a light shower or misty weather, the Resolve 2 is the raincoat for you. The DryVent 2L will keep you dry during a spontaneous shower and be the perfect candidate for indecisive, gloomy days.
Available in an array of colours, the Resolve 2 is a wet weather staple sure to be found in everyone’s wardrobe. The classic yet simple design easily blends in a city environment and on the trails making it perfect for a variety of rainy day adventures and seasonal transitions where weather is erratic.
Although very similar to the Resolve 2, the Venture 2 is a slightly more technical raincoat. While many of the features are shared between the two models, a few key standout features found in the Venture that are not present in the Resolve are zippered armpit vents and adjustable cuffs. The interior of the Resolve features an airy yet durable mesh lining and is crafted with a 2L material whereas the Venture is crafted with a 2.5L material. Having been crafted from 2.5L rather than 2L fabric, the waterproofness of the Venture is a more reliable choice for consistently wet conditions.
Both waterproof jackets have reasonable price points and will offer basic weather protection needed to get by on drizzly days. If you are searching for something a little more rugged but not quite ready to make the step to Gore-Tex, the Venture 2 is a great rain shell for your outdoor, wet weather activities.
